About Me

Hello there! My name is Matthew and I am a full-time engineer! I'm currently pursuing my Masters degree while working part-time at Johns Hopkins University. I completed my Bachelors at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Electrical Engineering with a double minor in Computer Science and Mathematics. My interest in electronics started back when I built my first computer in middle school and it has only increased since. I currently have interests in the spectrum between hardware and software, specifically in electronics design, embedded programming, and FPGAs. Please feel free to contact me through email for any questions!

Projects

Quick description on some personal and school projects I have done in both software and hardware.

  • Pet Door

Built a pet door able to detect motion and open/close via a mobile application.

  • 32-bit Processor

Designed a pipelined 32-bit processor and implemented the design onto a 45 nm process chip.

  • Kernel-based Operating System

Developed a kernel-based operating system with a fully functional interrupt handler, file system, scheduler, and more.

  • Tetris

Implemented Tetris on a FPGA with SystemVerilog manipulating VRAM and handling keyboard inputs
